The rules of engagement.

When you use heylife.ai (the website, the app, the agents that act on your behalf), you agree to these terms. They explain what we will do, what we will not do, and what happens if something goes wrong. Plain English where we can, careful language where we have to.

heylife.ai is built by Heylife AI, a company headquartered in Paris, France with a second office in Taipei, Taiwan. It is an AI product. The agents draft messages, plan your week, and, when you let them, take real action across your tools. These terms exist because that raises the trust bar, for you and for us.

Last updated 2026-05-25. heylife.ai is in private beta. If we make material changes to these terms, we will tell you by email or in product before the change takes effect, and we will not change them retroactively for accounts that already exist without your consent. If you do not agree, you cannot use the service.

01 The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Heylife AI. "Heylife", "we", "our", and "us" mean the company. "You" and "your" mean the person using the service. "The service" means the heylife.ai website, the heylife app, the agents, any APIs, and any related software we operate.

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the service in any form, you accept these terms and our Privacy Commitments. Those two documents are the complete agreement between us about the service.

02 Eligibility and your account

• You are 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws that apply to you.
• You will give us accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Keep your credentials private. If you share access, you take on the risk.
• You will not impersonate someone else, create an account on behalf of someone without their permission, or use the service through a pseudonym intended to deceive.
• If your account is closed for a breach of these terms, you may not open a new one without our written consent.

03 What heylife is, and what it is not

heylife.ai is a software product. It learns context about your life, brings a panel of advisor voices to a decision, and, when you authorize it, takes action across the tools you connect.

heylife.ai is not:

• a medical device, a substitute for medical care, or a provider of medical advice;
• a licensed legal, financial, tax, or accounting professional, or a substitute for one;
• a licensed mental-health provider, therapist, or crisis service;
• a guarantee of any specific outcome in your life, your finances, your relationships, or your health.

The advisor voices are personalities built on a mix of public information and the context you give us. They are characters, not credentialed professionals. If a real decision is in front of you in any of those domains, get a qualified human.

04 AI output: takes, not advice

heylife generates text, suggestions, and recommendations using large language models. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, biased, out of date, or simply odd. You should verify anything that matters before you act on it.

• No guaranteed accuracy. We do not warrant that AI output is correct, current, suitable for any purpose, or free from infringement.
• No guaranteed outcome. We do not promise any specific result from using heylife. The voices give honest takes; whether they fit your situation is your judgment.
• Your decisions are yours. You are responsible for the decisions you make and the actions you take after reading anything heylife produces. We are not responsible for any harm, loss, or consequence that follows from those decisions.
• Do not use heylife output as a substitute for professional judgment in medical, legal, financial, tax, accounting, mental-health, safety-critical, or regulated contexts.

05 Agentic actions on your behalf

When you connect an integration (for example Notion, Gmail, Google Calendar, or Apple Health) and authorize an agent to take action, you grant heylife permission to act within the scope you set. We take that responsibility seriously and we log every action with the memory it referenced, but the authorization is yours and so are the consequences.

• You authorize each scope. The agent will not act outside the integration scopes you granted.
• You can review and revoke. Every action is in the audit log. Every integration can be disconnected in one tap.
• You are responsible for the consequences. That includes emails sent, calendar events created, documents written, and changes to data in any third-party tool, when those actions happened within the permission you gave.
• High-stakes actions deserve a second look. For anything irreversible (mass emails, deletions, financial transactions), review the draft before approving. Some actions may require explicit confirmation by design.
• We do not guarantee perfect agentic behavior. If you find something wrong, correct it, revoke the integration, and email [email protected]. We will help where we can.

06 Third-party integrations

heylife connects to third-party services so it can be useful. Those services are run by their providers, under their own terms and privacy policies.

• Your use of any third-party service through heylife is also subject to that provider's terms.
• We are not responsible for outages, errors, billing, data loss, or changes in behavior on the third-party side.
• If a third party suspends or revokes access (yours or ours), the part of heylife that relies on that integration will stop working.
• We may add, remove, or change integrations at any time, including during private beta.

07 Your content and memory

The content you put into heylife (your goals, your notes, the memories the agent stores about you, the messages you write) is yours.

You grant Heylife AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you and the people you have chosen to share with. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for any copies we are required to keep by law.

We do not train our models on your content. The model providers we use contractually agree not to train theirs on it either. See the Privacy Commitments for the full picture, including export and deletion.

08 Acceptable use

By using heylife, you agree not to do any of the following, directly or through the agents on your behalf.

• Break the law. No illegal activity, no facilitating illegal activity for others.
• Harm people. No harassment, threats, defamation, doxxing, stalking, or targeted abuse, including via messages or emails sent through connected integrations.
• Exploit minors. No content that sexualizes minors, no CSAM, no grooming, no exceptions.
• Generate dangerous content. No malware, spyware, ransomware, or material instructions for weapons capable of mass harm (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or cyber).
• Spam, scam, or deceive. No spam, phishing, market manipulation, scams, fraudulent reviews, or impersonation of any person, business, or platform.
• Reverse-engineer or extract. No scraping, decompiling, model inversion, or attempts to extract system prompts, training data, or the underlying models.
• Interfere with the service. No probing for vulnerabilities without permission, no DoS attacks, no rate-limit evasion, no attempts to access another user's data.
• Resell or rebrand. No reselling, sublicensing, or rebranding heylife as your own product or as part of someone else's.
• Use heylife to violate another platform's terms through a connected integration.

If you find a security issue, please report it to [email protected]. We treat responsible disclosure with appreciation and we will not pursue legal action against good-faith research that follows reasonable standards.

09 Your license to use the service

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use heylife for your own life and decisions. That license ends when these terms end or when your account closes.

We own the heylife software, brand, designs, advisor voice profiles, prompts, model orchestration, training pipelines, and all related intellectual property. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.

If you give us feedback about heylife (ideas, suggestions, bug reports), we can use it without restriction, attribution, or compensation. That keeps us moving fast. We will still treat you with respect when we credit something to you, where it makes sense.

10 Beta status, no warranties

heylife is in private beta. It will have bugs, downtime, regressions, and rough edges. We will fix them as fast as we can, but we make no service-level promises during the beta period.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, and uninterrupted operation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those places, exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by local law. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, those rights remain unaffected by these terms.

11 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Heylife AI, our officers, employees, contractors, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or other intangibles, arising out of or related to your use of the service.
• Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or your use of the service is capped at the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred euros (EUR 100).
• These limits apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, statute, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.

12 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Heylife AI and our team from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

• your use of the service;
• your breach of these terms or any law or third-party right;
• content you submit to the service;
• actions you authorized the agent to take on your behalf;
• your interactions with third-party services connected through heylife.

If you are a consumer protected by mandatory laws of your country of residence that limit indemnification, this section applies only to the extent permitted there.

13 Termination and suspension

You can stop using heylife at any time. You can delete your account from settings; that removes your data from production within seconds and from backups within 30 days, except for records we are required to keep by law.

We can suspend or terminate your access for any of the following reasons: you breach these terms, you put the service or other users at risk, we are required to by law, an integration we depend on becomes unavailable, or we decide to stop offering the service.

Where possible, we will give you reasonable notice before terminating. In cases of serious abuse, illegal activity, security risk, or legal compulsion, we may act immediately.

On termination, your license to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive, including IP, indemnification, liability limits, disclaimers, and governing law, survive any termination.

14 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves or as law requires. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in product before the change takes effect, with at least 14 days of notice where reasonable.

Continuing to use the service after the effective date of a change is your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not accept, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.

15 Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the service that we cannot resolve informally will be brought to the competent courts of Paris, France, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that may give you a different forum.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Before filing a formal claim, please email [email protected]. We will try to resolve it with you in good faith for at least 30 days. To the extent permitted by law, you and Heylife AI agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as part of a class, collective, or representative action.

16 Export controls and sanctions

You will not use heylife in a way that violates export controls, trade sanctions, or anti-corruption laws of France, the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction that applies to you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a comprehensive embargo and that you are not on any restricted-party list.

17 Other terms

• Entire agreement. These terms together with the Privacy Commitments are the complete agreement between you and Heylife AI about the service. They replace any prior agreements about the same subject.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and the unenforceable part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
• Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms. We may assign them to an affiliate, a successor, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, infrastructure outages, government action, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, or pandemics.
• No agency. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and us.
• Notices. We may give you notice by email to the address on file or by an in-product message. You can give us notice at [email protected].
• Language. These terms are written in English. Translations are for convenience. The English version controls if there is a conflict.
