heylife / Work

An AI thinking partner for the work calls you do not want to make alone.

heylife brings a panel of three to five honest voices to the moments that decide a career, not a single mentor voice. The brutal Friday email at 4:17pm. The Slack DM that says "got a minute". The job offer that came in low. The quarterly review with your CEO. heylife shows up with the room of takes you need, before you reply.

01 / The job to be doneYou have goals. You also have a real career to navigate.

You set quarterly goals in January. By March, the calendar is a wall of meetings and your week is a chain of decisions, large and small, that quietly shape the next promotion, the next reorg, the next exit. The brutal email lands. The job offer is on the table. The slipping goal is now visible to your skip-level. You do not need another tracker. You need a room of honest voices when the decision is in front of you, with the context to disagree well: the Strategist and the Diplomat, the Cool head and the Career hawk, the Honest friend.

02 / What the work agent does for youFive work moments. Variable voices. Your call.

  • 4:17pm Friday, a brutal email from your boss.

Cool head, Strategist, Diplomat, Career hawk, Honest friend if you are a senior IC. A louder room of five if you are a first-time manager. The voices argue about whether to reply tonight, call instead, or sit on it til Monday.

  • Slack DM from your skip-level: "got a minute?"

Ally, Realist, Strategist, Honest mirror. They disagree about whether to walk in cold, bid for fifteen minutes to think, or use this as the moment to raise the thing you have been sitting on.

  • Job offer in. The number is lower than you expected.

Ambitious, Realist, Frugal, Honest friend, Future you. The room argues about whether to negotiate, walk, accept and reset later. The career hawk weighs differently from the partner-aware one.

  • Quarterly review with your CEO. Thirty minutes out.

Strategist, Diplomat, Skeptic, Honest friend. They argue about leading with the win, owning the miss, or pre-empting the question she always asks. You walk in with the room rehearsed.

  • You are stuck on a problem. Ask the room, DM senior, or wait?

Ally, Realist, Strategist, Career hawk. Different rooms for the eight-year IC and the six-month manager. The voices know your taste for asking versus solo problem-solving.

YOUR WORK ADVISOR LENS

Meeting prep

The Meeting prep lens is the advisor channel assigned to the Work bucket. It carries the voices that argue about strategy, diplomacy, restraint, and career-hawk reality at the moments that decide your year. It coordinates with your other lenses so a launch week does not blow up your sleep, and a brutal email does not steal Sunday before Monday morning. Read more on the Meeting prep page.

04 / Pick your role modelsYour council, not ours.

Most career apps hand you the same generic mentor. heylife flips that. Your council for Work might be a founder whose memos you reread, your old manager who taught you to write a status update, an operator like Keith Rabois on focus, and the friend who actually got promoted last year. We channel their lens into the voices that show up at each work moment. You pick them, you can swap them out, and we cite real source material rather than putting words in their mouth.

05 / Integrations that matter for workWhat heylife reads so the voices are grounded.

  • Notion. Read-only access to your goals doc, weekly review, and 1:1 notes so the panel knows what you said you cared about.
  • Google Calendar. Read-only awareness of the week ahead so the voices know what is real and what is theoretical.
  • Gmail. Read-only signal on the email you got, the email you started and did not send, the email you are about to reply to hot.
  • Slack. Read-only access to the thread the panel is weighing in on, so the voices are not flying blind.

heylife is in private beta; integrations roll out as we open access.

06 / FAQThree quick questions.

How is this different from a coach app or career mentor app?

A coach app gives you one voice, one philosophy, one frame. heylife brings a panel of three to five honest voices to the moment of decision, tuned to who you are. The senior IC gets a different room than the first-time manager, because their stakes are different. The voices disagree on purpose, so you see the trade-off before you pick.

Does heylife act for me? Send the email, accept the offer?

Not today. heylife is a thinking partner. It gives you advice from the voices you trust, with the context it can read from your real week. You make the call, you send the reply, you sign the contract. Acting on your behalf is on the roadmap, but only after the advice layer is excellent.
