HEYLIFE / AGENT · MONEY BUCKET

Money coach.

The advisor lens that shows up when the cart is open at 11pm.

Money coach is the advisor lens for the Money bucket inside heylife.ai. It carries the voices that argue when a money decision is in front of you: the Frugal that says sleep on it, the Hedonist that says you earned it, the Realist that knows last month's overspend, the Future you that remembers what January feels like, the Honest mirror that has seen this pattern before. Not a budget dashboard. A room of takes for the moment.

01 / WHAT IT DOESThe moments where this lens speaks.

Most personal finance apps dump a pie chart and call it insight. Money coach inside heylife is a panel: it shows up at the moments that decide a financial life, with the room of voices tuned to your real numbers. Here are the moments where this lens speaks loudest.

11:47PM, $341 CART

Receipts, Math, Hedonist, Future you, Honest mirror if you are $47k in credit card debt. Three softer voices if you are paid off and frugal by reflex. Same cart, different room.

SALARY LANDED, OVERSPENT

Frugal, Realist, Ambitious, Honest mirror. They argue about moving money to savings before you see it, accepting the overspend was groceries, or setting up the investment you keep delaying.

FRIEND ASKS YOU TO INVEST

Loyal friend, Skeptic, Future you, Honest mirror, Math. The room argues about the relationship, the actual odds, the opportunity cost, and what no does to the friendship.

LEASE +$400/MO

Frugal, Realist, Partner-aware, Future you, Ambitious. Five voices for the dual-income couple. Three for the single renter. A fork-in-the-road decision, with a real room around it.

STOCK DROPPED 15%

Investor, Skeptic, Future you, Honest mirror. They argue panic moment versus buying one, whether your thesis from six months ago still holds, what your real time horizon is.

PAYDAY ARRIVES

Ambitious, Frugal, Future you, Realist. The voices argue how to split this paycheck between bills, debt, savings, and the small thing that makes your life feel like yours.

02 / WHAT IT REMEMBERSContext the panel reads, so the voices are grounded.

Money coach draws on the layer every heylife lens shares: what you have told the product about your income, your obligations, your goals (build a runway, buy a home, take a year off), and your council. It reads bank and card data through Plaid (or imported exports), all read-only, and it remembers the last 12 months of how you actually spent versus what you said you would. Every voice cites the lines it pulled from, so when the Realist says "third month over on dining," you can click straight to the receipts.

03 / INSPIRED BY YOUR COUNCILThe voices in the room with your money.

heylife does not ship stock advisor personas. You build the council. For Money coach, you might seat the people whose financial discipline you respect, not who shouts loudest on the internet.

  • Ramit Sethi, or whichever money writer you actually read. Real corpus, real citations, channeled into the Frugal and Realist voices for this month's calls. Not a roleplay; the writer you have already learned from, in the room with your numbers.
  • The grandparent who paid off the house in 11 years on a salary you'd consider modest. Their playbook becomes the template for the Frugal voice: kill the small fees, keep the big lifestyle creep in check, do the boring transfers.
  • The friend who actually built freedom money. Not the loud one, the quiet one with the spreadsheet. Their habits become the reference for the Future you voice, so it speaks in your voice, not a generic one.

04 / INTEGRATIONSWhat heylife reads so the voices are grounded.

  • PLAIDRead-only access to accounts, balances, and transactions across banks and cards.
  • BANK EXPORTSIf you do not want a Plaid link, drop CSV statements; the panel parses and reconciles them.
  • GMAIL (OPTIONAL)Read-only signal on receipts, statements, and the financial conversations sitting in your inbox.

05 / WHAT YOU STAY IN CONTROL OFAdvice first. heylife never moves your money.

Money coach is built to never move a dollar. It brings the room of voices, with the context to disagree well. You move the money. You close the tab. You text the friend. Bank connections are read-only by default and revocable in one click; the panel stops cold the moment you turn it off. Your financial data is encrypted at rest, never sold, never used to train public models, and exported in your format the day you ask.

Mini FAQ.

Does Money coach move money on my behalf?

No, and it never will. Money coach is an advisor lens. It reads your accounts (read-only), surfaces the room of voices for a real money decision, and helps you see the trade-off. You move the money. That separation is intentional.

Can I tune the voices?

Yes. Some people want the no-nonsense CFO on the Realist voice; some want the calm friend who already paid off their house on the Future you voice. Set the council once, change it any quarter. Money coach matches your voice and the voice of the people you have seated.

What does the panel actually read?

Plaid or your bank exports for transactions, your stated goal and timeline, the last 12 months of how you actually spent, and your council for the lens. Every claim a voice makes is backed by lines you can click into and verify. All access is read-only.
